It is time to tickle a teapotter, which is probably a good thing as this is a bit weird to send to a total strange - even by my standards. I have just looked in the gallery and it appears I may have misunderstood the brief a bit this week.
I thought we were coming to the party in disguise. So I did just that...I disguised Hazy as Albert and Albert as Hazy by surgically swapping their heads.
You may remember Hazy and Lazy from a previous tickle (they live at Gabby's house now), well Hazy likes to dress up for Halloween, so she and her little friend Albert decide to swap heads. If you look carefully you can see where I lopped their heads off and added a bit of red copic marker and dimensional magic to look like blood. Their little outfits are paper-pieced and given a festive shimmer by adding Zig Wink of Stella Brush markers.
I had trouble securing Hazy and the swing to the tree (I say Hazy, meaning her body and Alberts head). I digress, in order to secure the swing to the tree I attached it all to a piece of acetate. I then added liquid pearls to the tree. I decided to give my heat gun a second chance and quickly dry the liquid pearls.....big mistake...the acetate started to melt. I quickly rescued Hazy from the smouldering tree and started again. The smell of burnt plastic is still lingering in the air....the burns on my fingers aren't too bad.
Back to the card. Alberts older brother Frank, has dressed up as Dracular. He is helping Hazy and Albert scare the pants off people walking by.
I should have said earlier that Hazy, Albert and Frank all started out life as Sassy Cheryl digi stamps and they are presented here on a stair step fold card. This size fits into a DL business letter envelope.
When I finished the card, I felt it needed something to soften it. I tried little flowers but that didn't seem to work, that is when I decided to add big blobs of liquid pearls to look like spider eggs!!! Genius hey.
We don't really celebrate Halloween in Australia, so I hope you will forgive me for going a bit overboard this week. I had heaps of fun!!
Have a wonderful week everyone and thank you for looking.

For someone who lives in an area that doesn't celebrate Halloween, you sure seem to have the spirit of it. This perfectly captures Halloween around my neighborhood, which seems to be filled with particularly enthusiastic Halloween types. (Yards in my neighborhood are currently filled with tombstones, ghosts and giant spider webs. The people in one house used to put out a large inflated purple spider, but it must have gotten a leak or something, this year they've switched to a giant black cat.)
In fact, you've captured Halloween so well, I think you should indulge in my favorite part of it -- buy yourself a bag of those "fun size" candy bars and dig in, Susie. That's the real Halloween experience.

oh my... this is amazing! You put so much work into your cards and I'm proud to say that I am an owner of one! I see you put a lot of love into this too! Cute as can be. Halloween is not one of my favorite times of the year - I can't quite call it a holiday, but I do make cards for the grands as of course they love getting all that candy!
