Well, it turns out my first post today was for a CAS Challenge last week, lol. I got lost in the Challenge list and picked the wrong one. This is for the challenge that's actually today.. tearing or Distressing. While it may not look totally clean & simple, it actually is CAS. For my pink/green bg, I quickly (very quickly) pounced/sponged 4 colors of ink then stamped the image w/ Versafine on top. It's die cut w/ a long rectangle and I added a bit of a white marker and stickles to the snowy parts of the pinecones. The black grid looking bg is a long ago leftover from a TLC challenge TLC235 painted grid. This is also for one of the Hope You Can Cling To Challenges HYCCT1326 , Mixed Media.
I tore the side of the long strip using a tearing ruler (makes it so easy). I attached it to a left over strip then attached the narrow little strip I tore off. I added the greeting on the card front and a few sequins cause you can never have too much bling!
Thanks so much for looking! It's just been blogged: The Write Stuff

SUPER DUPER pretty!! Totally digging the color combo, too. I'm so not ready for Christmas, but your fabby mixed media card makes it so much prettier to ease into. Love it! Thanks for playing along with my challenge.

This is gorgeous and you make it sound so simple! Love the sponged background and the layout of this. What fabulous colors you used and thanks for sharing your techniques. I also love the randomly placed sequins.
