For the honor-your-elders hycct challenge. I'm the youngest of four sisters, so you can guess I heard "Honor your elders!" lots. Well, my oldest sister was well worth honoring. She showed me how to read and follow directions when sewing, and more importantly, showed me which directions to ignore, and use my own ideas. She was clever that way! I chose an image to show vintage sewing pattern and her favorite colors: orange, gold, brown.
This card is a memorial. She passed last spring.

I absolutely love this wonderful image and the coordinating sentiment. My mom sewed nearly all my sister's and my clothes and she was a fantastic seamstress; these old pattern images really take me down memory lane! Great card : )
