This is my second card for Kathleen's Honor Your Elders HYCCT challenge, and it is dedicated to my mom. She is 94-years old and a 30-year breast cancer survivor. Unfortunately, she is currently in a nursing home, and many days she doesn't recognize me. As a young woman, she was very talented -- as depicted in parts of my collage. She was an artist and a floral designer. She also wrote poetry. It makes me sad that I can't share my card-making hobby with her. She would have loved doing this.
I did not have a stamp with the image of an artist's palette, so I went onto the internet and found some clip art, which I combined with stamped images to make my collage.

(((((((Hugs))))))) Lois, that's really from your mom by way of me...she would be honored, AND I loved reading a tiny bit about her story! And the digital artist palette just adds to your collage. Awesome card

Thank you so much for making a second card Lois!!! I love that you shared of your mother's love for art and her 30 year battle with cancer shows just what a fighter she has been! I am sorry she doesn't remember you at times, that sure does hurt the heart. You really made a special card to honor her! LOVE the gorgeous lace and pearls and the way your flowers, artist's palette, lovely butterfly and wonderful script in the background all highlight things your mother has loved. Thank you so much for sharing Lois! Very pretty card!!!
