Lisa's HYCCT challenge (Mixing It Up) was just that -- mixed media. I really don't do the Mixed Media challenges on Fridays, but I guess today was the day. This week's Mix-Ability challenge happened to be something I rarely do (watercoloring), but I jumped right in. So . . . my mixed media were watercoloring and pencils. I used my Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol to make the shadow around the watercolored butterfly. I hope that counts.

I love when people try things out of their comfort zones and this is gorgeous! Thank you so much for playing along in my HYCCT Mixed Media Challenge.

Lois you did a fabulous job! Awesome detailing and shadowing on your butterfly! I am going to have to remember to mix it up and use colored pencils for my shadowing, love the soft look!

That is a really good trick, Lois, and one I've just learned. It's okay to mix medias on the same image and you've done so in a gorgeous result. Congratulations on the favorite mention and thank you for mine!
