This cute image from Our Daily Bread was stamped in Memento Black, then scanned so that it could be enlarged. He was printed in very light gray to tone down the black in the stamp. He is colored with copics and pencils. The burlap came from my neighbor's garage and the brads were added since gluing on burlap is not always secure. The patches all of small stitches on them and so does the "tears" in the shirt. The shoes have small laces and thread ties and the patch has a few stitches around it also.
Small enamel accents were added to the drum since it just kept looking like a paint can to me.

Nancy, another great conversion of a stamped image to a digi. I just never thought of doing that. Duh! He is adorable and so nicely colored. The burlap and distressing go well with the image, and you really added a lot of detail to this sweet card.

INCREDIBLE card Nancy! Love the image. Nice coloring and distressed card design that totally coincides with the tattered look of the drummer boy. That was my late brother's favorite Christmas song so the card is precious for that reason, as well. xx BTW, I know I'm yrs late on commenting but it just happened to be on the gallery pg when I opened it.
