I had some really pretty ideas for Kittie's challenge to make a scene card that would have involved major sponging or brayering, but I ended up feeling too tired to tackle a challenging technique so I went with another idea I had. I saw [url/=http://www.pinterest.com/pin/328481366542552637/]this blanket or rug on Pinterest[/url] and decided to tear a quick scene and stamp my silhouettes. When I stamped, the images weren't as solid as I wanted so I took my marker and went over them to fill them in more. I added gel pen to the mountain tops. My Vanilla is stamped with pine boughs and cones. Though I think this would work for a Christmas card, I decided to go with a birthday for a guy.

Fantastic masculine scene! Love the torn background and your RED sky is wonderful!!! I thought you may have used the white core paper (I was thinking you tore it perfectly!) so I am kinda happy to learn you used the gel pen :) I am going to have to try that! Lovely and very peaceful Gail!!!

Terrific scene!!! I know what you mean about having ideas but too tired to actually put them together. Seems like I go to sleep and wake up with ideas but I only put about half of them on paper!!! This is a great masculine birthday card!
