I had seen an art piece on Pinterest with partial butterflies and thought it would work well for today's HYCCT Challenge to make a tall card. I stamped my swallowtails then used a wet brush and ink in my ink pad lids to paint them: soft suede, tangerine tango and crushed curry. It doesn't show up well in the picture, but the card is FULL of shimmer where I used my Gelly Roll Clear Star glitter pen on the bodies and on the Soft Suede colored areas of the butterflies as well as along the edges of the wings. I simply added my sentiment and it was done. I had hoped to use some faux metal type that I'd created, but I couldn't get it to work here :(

Lovely positioning of your swallowtails along the edges! That curvy sentiment fits perfectly in there. I can see just a hint of the sparkle..I bet it's even more beautiful IRL..TFS.

I never know what to do with that large stamp. I really like this perspective on it. TFS

I love this stamp and how you used it! I love that clear star gelly roll pen, but I agree, for some reason, it's hard to get a picture of the glimmer and it really is a gorgeous addition to the card!
