This is my card for Jennifer's "Put Your Brave Boots On " challenge over in the HYCCT forum today. I have several cute images of animals in boots and was going to go with one of them, but then I had the gingham stamp out for my tag for Bev's card, and stamped a spare background while it was out - and then my card went in an altogether different direction.
A2 base sponged with Mustard Seed.
IO Gingham stamped with Faded Jeans on white card.
Rubber Romance gal stamped on white card with Versafine black and coloured with distress inks, Sakura pens (her purse is a Stardust pen and sparkles IRL) and Polychromos pencils. She's a real mixed media gal ;-).
I added a sentiment from MFT, cut with a scalloped circle and then trimmed - and then trimmed again so that I didn't actually cover up my boots, since they're the whole point of the challenge. Sentiment popped up on foam. I made a yellow paper button too, but there wasn't anywhere to put it on the card.

Sabrina, this is so perfect on many levels. I have always loved this image and you've used it so well for this challenge. The classic bright yellow raincoat looks great here against the gingham background.

Yep, I am nodding my head because, I had seen what Jennifer and Kathy said first and I agree. my favorite thing is that the raincoat is sunshine colored to go with that awesome sentiment. the faux stitching is pretty cool too.

Oh I love this! So glad you went with this idea so we could see this beauty! I love the bright yellow and the blue gingham! There's just something about the image that makes me want to stop and just look for awhile!
