Punched SU 3/8" circle punch at corners of Night of Navy layer to get ticket corner effect. Main village stamp is by PSX, stamped in Versamark onto SU Night of Navy CS. Embossing Powder and Tinsel is Ranger. I mixed the silver embossing powder with an equal amount of silver embossing tinsel for a more glittery effect and used that as my embossing medium, then heat embossed. When cool, filled in the roof areas, tree boughs and snow drifts with the Marvy white liquid applique, followed by a quick dip into the crystal glitter. Heat set the liquid applique which caused it puff up just a bit and look more like sparkly fluffy snow. Mounted on card base when completely set. SU Sentiment was stamped with Encore Silver Metallic ink and not embossed.

Thank you for your kind words. A client of mine made something similar using this stamp many years ago in some type of card class, no remembrance of where, when or who. She loved it and had kept it all this time. It was on a shade of blue more like Not Quite Navy, stamped/embossed directly on the card base layer, no additional layers or ribbon, had a bunch of snowflakes across the top and no sentiment. She loved it and asked if I could recreate it or something similar for a holiday card class. I didn't own this stamp, and I had nothing even close, so I was on the hunt. I found some Christmas village type stamps on Ebay and came across the exact stamp she had used back then, couldn't believe my luck. As I was redesigning the new card, I thought Night of Navy was a richer looking contrast blue for the embossed layer and added the beautiful Smoky Slate as the card base to set off the embossing. I brought in a touch more silver by stamping the sentiment with the Encore silver ink and putting it on top of the modern label punched from silver metallic paper. The stamping/embossing of the village was easy enough, but it took several tries with different techniques and embossing mediums to get the snow to come out right. I even tried that Puffs embossing powder in white, but it didn't puff well and it was more beige, not white. I just kept trying stuff until I got the snow look I wanted, which was with the liquid applique paint and glitter. When I showed my class the finished card, they were delighted and actually liked my redesign better, which was a great compliment! Long story, happy ending! Thanks again, Deb

Beautiful! I love this. If I received that I would have to frame it and make it part of my "winter" decorations, that just happen to stay up all year! TFS!
