Ok, here is my double challenge card. It is for the WT448 challenge to make a card with a theme that starts with the same letter as username. My user name is just that my name, and I decided to go with "MASCULINE" as my theme. I decided to make a baseball card for my son in law who love the St Louis Cardinals. It is also for the mixed media challenge mix37. I was drawn to this dp because I thought it would be easy to get the challenge done because the little banners already had plaid on it. It had little white polka dots. I thought it would be fun to make them into baseballs. I took my black ink pen and drew half circles on them for the stitching. I alternated the directions of the half circles to add interest. I stamped two little cardinals using Mark's Finest Papers set called CHRISTMAS SELECTIONS. I watercolored them and cut them out. I stamped the baseball and banner using Mark's Finest Papers set called TAILGATE PARTY. I used an old alphabet set to stamp CARDS on the banner. I decided to shorten it #1 because I ran out of room and # 2 because I liked the irony of it spelling out what I like the most... making cards. LOL. I was trying to use hot glue to attach the banner panels to a piece of black twine. I got a little sloppy and there was a little spill over, so this is where I got creative. I purposely went over the little spillover and made round hot glue dots in between the panels. I then took cream acrylic paint and painted them. I added the half circles to them just like I did to the dots on the paper.

My sister and BIL would love this as they're HUGE Cardinal fans. Love the creative way you utilized your extra glue....gotta love necessity as the mother of invention/creativity-those baseballs look great!
