Here is my cardstock 'filing system': each color has a tab stating the color and those are in ABC order with the exception with the confetti white, whisper white, etc those are in the front. The tabbed (or labeled) hanging file folder has a manilla folder that holds only full sheets of the card stock. Then the hanging file folder just in the front of that one also has a manilla folder and that one holds all scraps of that color, anything less than a full sheet. This system has worked wonderful for me and it is sooo easy and fast to find just the piece I need without wasting a new piece! I will post a close up of just the paper system too, incase you are a total visual person like I am!
Thanks for looking!

Great idea! I keep my scraps in front of the full sheets in the same folder and do the same thing, put them in alphabetical order.............reach in for a scrap first or design cards around the scraps I have!

I have a similar system. I have two cabinets (one I just got last month)they each hold 1 ream of paper and there are 48 slots. I group my cardstock and paper by color and have the scraps and odd sizes in a plastic sheet protector. I just love it. I also have a small box on my desk, where I have cut half sheets (the perfect card size) and put them in alphabetical order so if I know what I am going to use I don't have to get up and go to the cabinet. Also I can just pull different sheets out to decide on colors. My DH (Bless his heart) Cataloged all my stamps when I first started and devised an easy system to keep track. I put my stamps in a cabinet my BIL made for me. I mark on the stamp the # of the drawer, stamp it in my catalog with the # along side it, and all I have to do is look at the # on the side and I know where it goes. I love it! I do my SU stamps the same way. I label the plastic container with a # and put the number on the side of the stamp so I know what goes in where.
