Well, I colored this background for my pink truck a few days ago but the pink just WOULD NOT go with my fall scene so I put it aside until last night when I decided to get with it and do my Teapotters challenge. Red Truck, goes good. You can't really see it but I have added rust in different spots on this old truck (looks like rust IRL). I thought, well I have two of the colors for the color challenge as well, why not add the third, so...the blueish bay decorative die on the first layer! I colored and cut out a dog too but couldn't make it work with the proportions (the truck and barn are too close together on the card). I could have put him in the back of the truck because the dog came with that truck in the stamp set but others had already done that plus it would have cover most of his cuteness!! I'll use him on a different card! The window is tinted and streaked but that got washed out too. My husband likes this card, otherwise I was going to take it apart and start over! Since it's a guy card and he likes it, I let it be. Forgot to mention that I am inspired by the east side of the Sierra Nevada Mtns around Lee Vining and Lundy Canyon area. To those of you who live in California...right now is the time to go to that area, you will see this scene (practically).

Nice truck and fall scene! Great coloring. For many yrs, my late-husband and I lived in a canyon in UT. The mountains around us showed the glory of each season. From the fall colors to the amazing snow/ice sculptures the trees and foliage became, it was beautiful to behold.

I love your composition on this using various stamps! That can be difficult and what a lovely scene you created. You used such wonderful embellishments too!

Robin, your inspiration is one of my favorite places in Ca, there and many spots along Hwy 395. Great salvage of this truck and beautiful scene! Now if only I were there!
This card should go a long way to bringing some escape and comfort to the recipient!
