This is for HYCCT1304 challenge Let's "Punch out" Breast Cancer - to use punches or die cuts on our cards. It also meets three other challenges, MIX36 Anything Goes being one of them - create a mixed media card you love.
The background piece is part of a piece I created for one of my most favorite mixed media cards I've made. If you want to know about it, the card originally using the other part is here:
I layered the piece onto a shimmery purple layer and wrapped it with the upcycled fibers from an old card. I created the flower with SB dies - the bottom layer is kraft packing paper that was in the bottom of my spray box (can you tell I'm hooked on gold Shimmer Spritz?), the top layer and center of the flower were cut from a heat sleeve that comes around to-go coffee. I just love that texture! The flower layer was painted with a purple and then a green layer of paint and sanded when dry. It and the flower center were lightly sponged with gold Colorbox ink, and I added tiny dots of Wink of Stella brown glitter pen to the center before popping it up with foam tape.
The sentiment was stamped with VersaMark and heat embossed with black ep. the card base was misted with gold Shimmer Spritz and the focal added. It's mounted on a matching layer of craft foam for extra dimension.
As always, thanks for looking!

It's so interesting to read your description about how to create your mixed media piece. To some of us, it is still a mystery, so thank you for the details. The end results are so beautiful with this great texture and shimmer. Thank you for participating in my challenge to 'Punch Out Breast Cancer' in our HYCCT challenges.
