For HYCCT1306 challenge, we are to use colors representative of cancer for people in our lives who are affected by it. I chose Violet (Hodgkin's Lymphoma) for my daughter, who has been doing great for the last 5 yrs, and Pink (Breast Cancer) for my SIL who is stage 4 and not doing so well :(
I cut a mask of Bethlehem and placed it where I would be stamping it. Then I used the pinks/purples to sponge in the background. I prefer to sponge first, then stamp on top so the image stays crisp and clean. Since it was masked, the windows stayed white so I added some yellow light to them. On a separate sponged & stamped piece, I die cut 4 decorative corners and attached them to the 4.25 x 5.50 card front. Since this is Religious in nature, I won't be able to send it to MD Anderson, but it will go to my SIL for Christmas.
Thanks so much for looking! My blog:The Write Stuff. Sorry! I had to delete a bunch of really old posts from my blog & this is one of them.
