Welcome back to HYCCT! I love the month of October as we join together to create hundreds of cards to send off to those patients at MD Anderson facing a challenging diagnosis of cancer. We hope you can join us for a few challenges, or all of them, as we have a blast this month.
Sweet Bridget has given us the MOST beautiful inspirational photos from Pinterest to inspire us to create. It is no question which one I chose as I created a very similar sky with a reflection on the water. These are my favorite kind of cards to create. I truly have the inky fingers of a stamper when finishing this type of card. Nature and being on the water create such a peaceful feeling. Maybe this image will take one patient back to happier times as they recuperate. This nighttime sky was created with a lot of sponging. I masked off and used a gradient of colors- Pink Pirouette, Pretty in Pink, Melon Mambo, Rich Razberry, Elegant Eggplant. The moon was masked after the Pink Pirouette sponging and it's highlighted with a white gel pen and silver stickles. I created the stars with dots of white gel pen and a touch of stickles throughout the sky. I sprayed with shimmer spray so IRL this is sparkling.
The sentiment says: May the waves kiss your feet, the sand be your seat and your friends out number the stars.

Master at work, here. So beautifully sponged, or brayered. Great silhouettes and reflections and one of the most lovely sentiments I've ever read. Truly special.
