I used Cheryl’s Stamping Textures (TechVSBN05) technique on this page. I mounted the design side on the block, flat side faced up. (I used a leaf shape from Fall Season by Inkadinkado.) I inked up the flat surface, then I pressed it into a dry handiwipe (woven texture) and stamped on white cardstock, overlapping/repeating several times. I used 3 inkpads, Elegant Eggplant, More Mustard & Old Olive on 3 separate partial pieces of cardstock. I also used the same technique to put a few “leaves” of different colors together. I used those on the right, stamped a flourish, cut it out and added the bling.
IÂ’ve been going through my supplies lately and was reminded of all the fibers I have, so I decided to use a couple of those. My journaling card was made using 2 nested Spellbinders dies. I inked the edges of both cards, along with the green alpha set from MichaelÂ’s (stash), I used Microsoft Word for the journaling (Old Newspaper Types font, Yee Haw & Seeing Stars dingbat fonts). The little gold coils are from a piece of clearance jewelry (stash.) The background paper is Baywood Lane from Scenic Route (stash).
Journaling: "Lynn, you always try to get to Old Scottsdale when you visit Arizona. I enjoy going there too! They have some beautiful southwestern bronze sculptures, gorgeous flowers, turquoise, silver, turquoise & all sorts of fun shops and restaurants. The City of Scottsdale and its newer residential areas have become a lot more trendy and upscale over the years, but one can still count on downtown Old Scottsdale to have the rustic flavor of the Old West! It’s time for a visit to Arizona, my friend!”

Wendy, this layout is beautiful! I love that you used a leaf shape for the technique, and the blend of colors is so pretty. Super job on the challenge.
