Susie created a card using the fussy cutting technique and some gorgeous Graphic 45 designer flowers. I rarely use designer paper images as the main focal point of a project. I have some wonderful Graphic 45 Christmas Past Collection and Susie's gorgeous card inspired me to try my hand using one of the beautiful cherub images. I created flowers out of cardstock to enhance the cherubs. I paired it with the paper on the opposite of the cherubs. I created a decorative background layer for my card using vanilla cardstock and used metallic rich gold Pan Pastel to color it. I cut my poinsettias out of vanilla, colored them lightly with permanent red Pan Pastel and then highlighted them with the gold. I cut the holly and pine using artichoke paper and I also applied the rich gold to them as well. It's so sad that you can't see the gold on the flowers and holly in the photo. It adds an amazing Victorian feel to the card in person. The gold on the decorative matched perfectly with the background designer paper.
Thank you Susie for such wonderful inspiration and for getting me to move out of box to use designer paper images.

Kittie, this so pretty. I'm so glad my card inspired you to create a card like this. It's such a wonderful example of using dp as a focal point AND add your signature floral creations to the card as well. Thank you Kittie, I have long admired your talent and skill. It's an honor to have you craft a card on the FS Challenge this week.
