This is a sample of how I interpreted the MIX 35 challenge, to take tissue paper (any color) and apply it to the base of your project for a texture. No finished projects, I'm battling flooding in my craft room, but since I just now posted my card for last week's Mix challenge, I wanted to at least do a little better this week!
I have loads of white tissue paper 4x5 rectangles, and created several different sets of background papers in different colors. I scrunched up each piece of tissue and smooshed it into a Distress ink pad, smoothed it back out and repeated the process three or four times for each piece. I layered three pieces together with Mod Podge, and sprayed them heavily with water after the adhesive dried. Enough water seeped through to allow some bleeding of the inks. On some of the sets I used layers with different colored smooshes; the card front and the poinsettia on the right had two layers using Spun Sugar and one of Worn Lipstick. Then they were sprayed HEAVILY with whatever metallic spritz I thought worked best with the color - silver, pewter, gold.
I love how these turned out! Y'all may be seeing a lot of this on my cards for a while, LOL!
As always, thanks for looking!
