The Christmas Cards All Year Round blog posted a September challenge called "Christmas Fairies with a Little Sparkle" which is perfect for a card for a little friend of mine who loves fairies and glitter.
My fairy isn't a Christmas image but I painted her dress with red Twinkling H2Os to make her festive, and used a pale green for the wings to keep them translucent and light, but still a Christmas colour. I cut her out with my new Nesties Decorative Label 8 and my sentiment with a Nesties Fancy Tag and mounted both on red glitter cs cut with a plain Label 8 die. For the background, I used a pale green dp that matched the green of the wings.
It reminds me of my childhood in England when we used to put a little sparkly fairy on top of our tree instead of a star. It made me curious as to whether people still do that in England so I searched the internet and sure enough, there are still lots of fairy Christmas tree toppers available for sale in the UK.
It's also for the SCS Christmas Card Challenge September quota.
