I was so excited when I saw that Susie (PaperPunchScissors) was our Queen this week that I had to make a card for her right now! I chose this lovely card for my inspiration. I liked how she used a vintage image on it and added her own little "Susie" touches. I made mine a Christmas card and like Susie I didn't do any stamping on this. I have some wonderful retro style stickers and I fashioned my card around those. I sewed the edges, added some ribbon for my sentiment as it was already written on there and that was that! Susie has such a lovely gallery and she leaves the sweetest comments for everyone. She also has a great sense of humor and there's always a story behind her cards. Congrats Susie and enjoy your week!!

Polly, what a festive way to honor this sweet Queen! She does have "Susie" touches, doesn't she? And you have your own too. Love the stitches and vintage images. Beautiful case!

Thank you Polly! You did a fabulous job on this Christmas card!! Don't you just love it when you can grab all those stickers embellishments and put a card together? It's fun to mix it up once in while (she smiles). Now I don't know if you knew this or not, but... one of my all time favorite things are "vintage cards" from the 40's and 50's. You've captured my heart for sure with this one! And I love the ribbon with the sentiment already stamped on it - perfect!! Thank you for your kind words, Polly. Now, lean in close. I think we're gona be good friends (she smiles).
I've got a big surprise come Saturday and it has to do with Snowmen *giggle* I think you're gona like it. Thanks again, Polly. I love, love this wonderful vintage Christmas card.

I'm really liking that Christmas dp, Polly! And more Vintage Christmas images; so sweet! I like the sentiment on the ribbon too; makes it easier to add one and prettier too!

Aww, Polly, just loving those retro snowman images - you took me "wa-ay back" in my memories of those wonderful days gone by. What a great mix of 2 different yet similar chevron stripes - they look wonderful in this stitched layout!! What a gorgeous case to honor Susie - you outdid yourself!

Pol, those snowmen (and snowlady) are so precious! They truly do have the vintage flair! And, I can't help but smile right back at them! Adorable!!! Your DPs really make this festive and fun! Love the sewing and the trio of tiny, red gems for a little trimming! Fabulous card to honor Susie!!!
