When I saw today's ways to use it was to use squares I immediately thought about an inspiration piece I saw on this week's inspiration site Eastern Accents. I loved the retro images on this pillow especially in this classic color combo. I simply punched the concave and convex squares first then punched around those holes with the 1 1/4" square punch. I glued the strips first then glued the outer square over that and filled in the center with a contrasting color. After it was all glued and cleaned up with my adhesive eraser, I then embossed it in the Square Lattice ef to make it look inlaid and of course to add some extra squares!
I added some solid lines at the bottom of my inside piece.

Love the embedded embossing on this very cool RETRO card.
