Toni's fun challenge for the WTUI challenge today has us using squares. I don't believe I've ever tried a square telescoping card before, so I had fun. I've combined it with Lois's challenge to the CCEE Stampers to create a card for Johnny Appleseed Day. We could use any fruit - but bonus points for an apple and that worked well with my autumn theme.
I always have trouble grounding this apple stamp, though - it sort of looks as if it's mid-fall from the tree!
I used scalloped and square dies cut from brown and green Bazzill for the base. Top layer is embossed and sponged. I added a leaf using the recent Embossed Enamel Leaf tutorial. My leaf is quite small - it's one of the IO leaf dies, cut from watercolour paper as per the tutorial.
The squirrel image is an old Penny Black stamp, and I used the requisite apple on my base layer. I thought I wasn't going to find any really suitable brads and then found these which make me (and DH) think of little ladybirds. And I added gold dots to all the scallops.
Hope to be able to comment later but my broadband is down :-(.

Oh Sabrina, this is gorgeous! I love the fresh fall colours and the darling scenes of the squirrel and apple. I've never made this style of card.....gotta go check the tutorials!
