Needed a male Birthday card for a long time friend in Colorado so today's color challenge worked out perfectly. Did the chalkboard technique. Embossed a white panel with the stripe eb and then cut one quarter inch strips (nine of them) from gumball dp and glued each strip down in the indentations. I was just going to leave the panel white but it just isn't in me to make a clean and simple card. I gotta be fussy. Whoops! Forgot to use the smoky slate. Sorry!

WOW I'm impressed that you glued down all the strips of green! It does make for a fun bg (I know what you mean about CAS cards..I usually have to add more, too) This is a great b-day card for a guy..I need one of those..might just borrow your idea ;)

And without reading this, I thought the green and white was dp! What a fabulous job you did with it! Love your chalkboard and the faux stitching is a perfect complement for the stripes~
