We've been away for a few days, and I thought I could combine Lydia's "Signed, Sealed and Delivered" MIX33 challenge with today's sketch. I used a water-based varnish designed for acrylics, and it's helped add to the Asian feel I was going for with my image.
Base paper is DCWV Far East, sponged with Walnut Stain and Soot Black.
For my main panel I stamped the iris in black and then coloured it with pencils. After that I misted it with something from my desk, and sponged it with browns and greens. Then I used Walnut Stain with the Reverse Chicken Wire (at least, I think it's the reverse one!) stencil. Then the Polyflashe varnish.
Both green panels are embossed and sanded.
Before varnishing I used yellow Stickles on the iris centre, and some black lightly around the edges and the edge of the card. I used some distress green Stickles along the edges of the green panel, adding a little to some of the sanded dots.
I'd have like to fancy up the blue scallops a bit - but I'm still recovering from travel and being away.

Love the different size polka dotted paper patterns put together on this and then the chickenwire bg behind the stamping seems to pick up on that repeating dot pattern as well. Nicely done!

I could tell from a glance that there was a lot of work applied to this card. Such a beauty, Sabrina!
