Another card for Lydia's challenge to use a glazing technique on our projects.
I had this picture in my stash. I took it of some flowers my husband brought me, using a funky camera app on my phone. I thought it would be perfect to play with.
To make my vintage glaze, I swiped my craft mat with a good amount of Antique Linen and Vintage Photo Distress Inks and poured on matte Mod Podge, mixing it with the edge of a discarded gift card. I applied it to the photo with a foam brush, layering it several times. It reminds of all those dark old pictures my grandmother had hanging in her house, that I absolutely hated when I was a kid. Now I think it looks really cool, LOL! I stamped the framing layer with gold and mounted it on foam tape to the card front. The lace looks a lot whiter in the picture, it was creamy to begin with and I sponged in some of the Antique Linen ink to age it a little.
As always, thanks for looking!
