Here's one of two cards I made for this fabulously fun Freestyle Design Try a New Technique Challenge. As my good friend Nancy told me, this challenge is right up my alley! I just snagged some scraps leftover from a workshop.
I had the Gumball Green circle and Soft Suede ric rac and Real Red heart die cuts and the butterfly on my desk, so I grabbed those and went to work. I played around with the pieces before I decided what went on top of what and then decided to stamp the Dictionary image with Perfect Plum ink onto the Whisper White butterfly before I glued everything to the card base. It's hard to tell from the photo, but the butterfly's wings are folded up and the heart was spritzed with some shimmer. I stamped the Off the Grid image with Sahara Sand onto the Sahara Sand card base, added all the die cuts and then stamped FRIENDS with Early Espresso ink. Ta da!

What a great idea to go freestyle. You can a little bit of this, a little bit of that! (The green circle and red heart instantly reminded me of a green olive with pimiento inside!)
