I have a whole new respect for Tim Holtz! These were going to be the 12 tags of Halloween but as you can see 9 of them never materialized. If you waited for 12 tags it would take me until next Halloween to finish them.
As many of you know I'm very new to this whole digi world so I have a need to create depth on my digi work with layers. Lots and lots of layers. I start to build my project with the paper first and then because I work mostly with copics I colour my image to match the papers. If I don't have the right coloured cs I simply cut my matting paper in white and draw about a 3/8" copic border to match my image around the edge. This also saves having to have cs available in every colour. The other thing I do to layer my cards is a lot of fussy scissor work. I don't like seeing a white border around my image so those stamp and die sets don't work for me.The more you do the faster you get. I'm often asked how I can cut so exactly. There are 3 secrets, buy super sharp thin bladed scissors, never take the blades off the paper, never move the scissors - always the paper.
Happy cutting,
Cheers, Elizabeth
