OK, right up front I'm not wild about this card-I'm working with a new to me stamp set and I over blended the images then went back with a marker to add lines back in, and it just aint great.
I'm uploading this anyway and I'm sure I'll improve with the set as I play with it more. This is made for the Viva la Verve August Challenges and uses this pretty sketch and uses this week's color challenge colors and even has dessert-a masculine card. I stamped my card in Night of Navy on Soft Sky, masked it then stamped the pump in Cajun Craze (next time I think I'd put the pump in front). Here's where the mess came in as I used a wet brush with some scribbled marker on acetate to blend in my colors and simply went too far. Edges are distressed and I rolled some Rough Texture onto the base dp. My sentiment was inked first in Versamark then Cajun Craze and embossed in clear. I also wheeled a bit on the inside of the card.

Gail, I like the results with your new stamp. Watercolor always gives me a hard time and I only occasionally try it. Your results for this masculine, distressed card turned out nice. I like the texture wheel too; I have that wheel and forget to use it. Thanks for playing the challenge with us this week. (I like that sketch too.)

Gail, I really like this. I love all the distressing in one form or another. I really like the old car and gas pump too. Can you tell us who makes it? I think I'd like to get this set. It is just a perfect guy card!!
