We were to make a traveling card today. I see lots of friends are off to exotic places. Myself and Curt are off to a quiet place I use to camp at when I was way younger. It is a place in Colorado called Hot Sulphur Springs. Must admit the place smelled like hard boiled eggs, but I loved it.
My uncle would take my Grandma & Grandpa so they could take the hot mineral baths and my sister, Connie Jo, and me to fish. Now that I am in the pool business I often wonder how they “cleaned” those baths! hmmmm especially after Curt used them. Always wondered why Grandma’s arms had a white fuzzy look to them. hehe
So while they soaked their old bones in the hot mineral water, my sister and I would fish the Colorado River losing many bobbers that my uncle would chase after in hopes of saving 25 cents per. We had such fun times there.
I often day dream about getting one of those older trailers, fixing it up so we can actually go traveling with it. My DH and I have taken lots of trips to Mexico, but as I get older flying doesnÂ’t have the appeal it used too. Plus, I am tired of schedules. With a trailer, we could take our time and just enjoy ourselves. Plus, wouldnÂ’t that be a hoot to see a trailer like this on the road with a cow waving at you as you passed by? I think it would bring many a smile.
TodayÂ’s sketch was started exactly one year ago. I am so happy happy happy to finally get to put it on a card. I made the tires over sized since Curt will be riding with us and he is sort of on the Plus Size, if you know what I mean. (thatÂ’s why I didn't share my cookieswith him.) Coloring was done with copics, the rocks stamped, colored and sponged, then put this is a large card and stamped the Mutnik square border.
Well hope you enjoyed taking a little trip down memory lane with me and Curt today. So many more stories that could have gone with this card, will save them for another time. Have a wonderful Teapot Tuesday ALL! Â….TFL :0)
Hi Sis!.....youÂ’re gonna love this oneÂ…and I know, you want a copy. Will do.

Well, this card was so obviously inspired by very happy memories, and it shows - beautifully drawn, coloured in vibrant colours, and full of character and fun! Do you know they call trailers "caravans" in the U.K. and Ireland, so the title of this card could be "Curt's Caravan" - nice ring to it, don't you think?

I love your camper/trailer. Flying doesn't interest us much anymore, and being on a schedule after being retired just doesn't cut it! Looks like Curt (and his girth) will be having fun!!

You can't beat camping for a quiet getaway, can you? I see there are fish in that mountain stream and a mouse stowaway on this trip. Did you actually sign the card? -- you really should, you know; any teapotter would love a signed Mutnik.

Mooove over Curt and make room for me! This is just the adventure I love going on! I think I can fit in there between Roscoe and the kitty, if Curt will just Moove a little! Cathy, I love the cute card and your story of "Good Times"!

It's funny, we go to all kinds of exotic places now but 2 years ago we went to China for 1 month and the 17 hour plane ride put us off flying as well. Our dream vacation will be when Ron retires and we head out on the road for 3 months driving all around the US on the old roads.
