Ok, I really struggled with these colors. I have to say that everyone eles's cards look amazing with these colors. I made my bottom panel by taking a denim looking dp and swiping it with night of navy ink and then distressing it with cream acrylic paint. Then I swiped it some more with night of navy and then I stamped Mark's Finest Papers CRACKED HELLO with white ink. That part of my card I really liked right away... but there is where I got stuck. I was going to skip desert and make a card with poppies but I just couldn't get it to work, so I scrapped that idea. Then I decided to make a coffee cup card. That could be masculine right? So I stamped Mark's Finest Papers set called OH BEANS. I stamped the cups onto different scraps of dp. I really did try to match the Cajun, but looking now I don't think I did a good enough job. The top and middle cup were plain so I decided to use more stamps to decorate the cups. The top cup was stamped with YAHOO a sentiment from Mark's Finest Papers set BE A SHOWOFF, and the middle cup was stamped with Mark's Finest Papers Set WILD HORSES. I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of dp that was stained with tea. (which I thought was ironic on a coffee card.) Then I stamped and colored and cut out the beans. I added burlap to look like the bag the beans came in. The cups were cut out and I put them on a piece of cardboard from a cheerios box that I also cut out. So that you couldn't see the cardboard, I traced around all the edges with a black marker. The cups are popped up on paper springs. It may not have matched the colors for the challenge very well, but I kinda like how it turned out. Thanks for the inspiration that lead to this card.

MariLynn, I think this looks simply fabulous! All of it, not just your wonderful worn background but the stack of cups and the burlap. This would be such a perfect card for my DH .

I love your card MariLynn!!! It is so rich with pigment. I like that it is darker than the other ones from today. WOW, you did a whole lot of work to this card!! I really like the whole thing. The denim piece is handsome, and those cups look great. The burlap is awesome!!

Love these cute cups, the stitching, and the burlap used for great texture. Not a coffee drinker, but I know the message is so true for many of my friends.

I think your resulting card is WONDERFUL! Love the stack of various coffee cups. The burlap is a great addition since it looks like the bags the beans come in to be roasted.
