This is for the Sept 2013 Creative Crew challenges - Holiday Focus: 911 Remembrance. It's not a holiday, but it's a day that has been imprinted on our minds. Make a project with the Big Shot that allows you to remember a day from your past.
I decided to make a card in remembrance of Sept. 11 because it was a day that brought so much destruction yet also allowed us to witness so much bravery, humanity and spirit. For the 10th anniversary in 2011, I wrote a blog post about what I remembered from that day: http://snippetsbyandrea.blogspot.com...mber-11th.html
I embossed the die-cut waves with the Woodgrain embossing folder and lightly applied ink with a sponge to emphasize the texture. I scored each point on the star then sponged and gently folded them for dimension. For the faux stitching I pierced around the edge of the card and then connected the holes with a gel pen. My gel pen was a little too "juicy," so the holes aren't as easy to see as I would have liked. Thanks for looking!
