I saw Sabrina's challenge and wasn't sure how I was going to go until I looked down on the ground as I was leaving for work this morning and saw a feather. It is the lighter of the two feathers on the card. I pulled the other from my stash. I used Mark's Finest Papers stamp set called Wild Horses. I watercolored the image and added 2 extra cacti. I framed it with a piece of suede. I like how the suede looks, but it was hard to work with because it was a little heavy. Hard to sew and hard to adhere, but I made it work. This card will be for my brother who has a birthday next week.

This is incredible and should be framed! Get the card back from him after he opens it and then frame for him! Wow. Love the colors and use of mother nature...perfect beads.

Love the card. When I want a suede look. I use LIQUID APPLIQU and brayed it on the card stock. Let it dry then go over w heat gun. If you cannot find brown you can color w reinkers. Love the card.

What a find that feather was if it inspired you to create this wonderful masculine card, MariLynn! A great way to use beads. I love the way the cactuses are coming out of the frame, and the suede looks marvellous. I can imagine, though, that it was hard to work with, but the tactile elements in this card will be a treat for whoever receives it.
