Wow this past week has gone so quickly, it's Teapot Tuesday once again and this week we are sending our thoughts and warmest wishes to Doreen in Arlington.
The story this week was about Dory and Daisy and their puppy dog Paisley. The girls failed to bring home strawberries, so 42,000 teapotters have been called upon to deliver the goods.
I was thinking that a recipe book would be handy, so here is young Gertie (good friend of Hazy and Lazy and lives just up the road from George). Young Gertie started out life as a Sassy Cheryl digi stamp.
Gertie and the book are paper pieced. If you are faint hearted look away now.....I had to chop off her fingers in order to adhere the paper pieced book, thankfully I glued her pinkies back in place and no lasting damage was done.
The card base is a centre step card. I just got my chicken wire die, so I had to use it and I also used my new "dots" die on the back panel. I added black ink spots to try and make it look like a hanging bag of strawberries. It didn't really work, but it's the thought that counts.
I added some birds, twine, grass, a strawberry stamp and pre-made flowers (on the hat). Thank you for looking and have a wonderful week everyone.

I love your card Susie!!! That little girl is so cute and sweet looking at the big recipe book. I love how you colored it and did the paper piecing. Wonderful embellishment like the raffia!! :>)

Adorable! Susie, you put so much creativity into your cards, that they remain a joy to look at, long after the first look! I love the chicken wire die (may have to get this one) and all the sweet layers that make up this adorable card! I love your description of how you had to lop off her fingers to get her to hold the Teapotter recipe book, no one would have been the wiser!

Oh my goodness, SO much fun to look at! Every single detail is perfectly placed, Susie! I love that chicken wire die and the teeny little birds at the top, the straw, your recipe book, every bit of it! Precious.

This is just the best card ever! I love it! That little girl image looks kind of like Strawberry Shortcake right? I love that chicken wire die! Who makes it and where can I get one? I love the other one too! With all my stamps and supplies one would think I don't need more but I really do! I love the birds on the wire and all the raffia, this card is just a WOW all over! Now about that cookbook...I think all 42,000 teapotters would want one! What a great idea...any volunteers for that project?
