What a stellar gallery Heidi has! This is the card I chose:FM81 Blue Christmas by hlw966 at Splitcoaststampers
I combined this challenge with three others: MIX29 (combine a cracked technique with stitching), IC402 http://www.winterwaterfactory.com/co...ight-owls-navy (cute website, might need to buy something for my granddaughters!) and FFA182 (use dots).
Heidi's card had dots, is a holiday card and used a darker blue and silver combo. Those are the things I kept. My card is about 5x5 square and has a very different format.
I have to say that cracked glass is a very hard technique for me, although I love it and other people's results. UTEE is so messy, I have trouble getting it to stick after the first layer so my layers are uneven and there are lumps and bumps, and either it doesn't crack at all or it cracks too much. Even though I like the idea of what I tried to do, I'm not happy with the technique results. I generally like random, 'whatever you get, you get', but this goes beyond my 'happy' level. Any suggestions are welcome.

I love the white on navy, I think it's the first time I've seen the cracked glass on a dark bg!! It' looks beautiful against the clean but interesting card..

I think I can join your" no love loss for the cracked technique" for me either. I never have much success at it either, but I love the pretty design of your circles and stitching. A very pretty card!

A fun take on the chalkboard technique to look like snow-covered Christmas trees. I've always loved the cracked glass technique for a winter scene. Thanks for playing along with me on my featured stamper week.
