After checking the challenges for today, I notice an old/new technique that I had missed the first time around. Faux barn board was a fun easy technique, you will find in the resource section or tutorials. I would provide a link it's one of those things I never learned how to manage while adding a post.
I used a mixture of re inkers, white acrylic paint, (for the light oval) and Tulip Pearl paint with re inkers (for the fence). I had pearl fabric paint on hand that I wanted to use up so I figured it was worth a try. I would defiantly use it again!!

Oh gosh - your barn board turned out wonderfully and is a lovely background for the fairy. I still have mixed luck with that technique, but you certainly inspire me to try it one more time.

What FUN! I love that all your elements incorporate the cracked texture. Beautiful lace, and Scor-bug 'stitching' are great elements. Let's not overlook the beautiful coloring of the fairie image - it's so delicate! Thanks so much for playing! I think I may have some of those pearl paints. Off to see what I can do with them!

This little fairy looks like she's found a perfect home! Love all the different crackle surfaces, and I wouldn't have ever thought to use Tulip paints. Great idea!
