This is for Cathy's fun WTUI challenge today # Sun Rays. I didn't think I had any sunrays left in me after the recent DTGD challenge, since they are something that is a bit out of my comfort zone ~ but I when I took time to consider it, I thought evening sunset colours would work with my new die, and I used this week's sketch as my jumping off point.
A2 base. I used a protractor to mark the radiating lines on a large sheet of scratch paper and then stuck my A2 base to it and sponged the background using Squeezed Lemonade, Dried Marigold, Ripe Persimmon and a hint of blue at the end. Edges sponged with Salty Ocean and Dusty Concord.
Sizzix Susan's Garden Sunflower - fun to make, but time consuming! The brown scrap that I used for the centre had some gold embossing on one side, and in the end I let that be the right side just for a little added shading.
The wide strip is green Core-dinations embossed and sanded, overlaid with ribbon and cord. I used a HA sentiment in the top corner. My little bees are an old freebie Spellbinders die - I sponged copper through the die and then added gold Stickles once I'd taken them out. Wings are Fantasy Film stuck on the back and trimmed, with more added Stickles, and I used tiny black pearls for the eyes.

I know what you mean about the sunrays ;) but, Sabrina, this is one of the best sunray designs I have ever seen, those colors look like you were chasing the light with your lens.
(and that die just hit my greed list)
TFS!
