For the Mix-ability challenge ("Any Way the Wind Blows") on Friday, we had to use air to move colour around.
For my background, I used a technique a nine year old taught me - mix up dish soap in a bowl, drop food colouring on it, blow the food colouring around with a straw and then float watercolour paper on it for a few seconds. When it was dry, I ran it through an embossing folder that kind of reflected the idea of knitting stitches. The card is for a friend in my knitting group who took me out for lunch.
I used a stamp of a basket of wool, coloured the wool in tones that go with the background. And added a sentiment on a ribbon tag - attached with a strand of knitting yarn, of course!
