I've been away from my stamping room for awhile, so I am combining a few challenges. I created this weeks Featured Stamper challenge and for a few Dare to Get dirty challenges.
Here is the lovely card of Sarah's that was my inspiration Delightful silhouette
I hope you are enjoying your time in the spotlight this week, Sarah. Your gallery is absolutely full of wonderful works of art.
Here are the DTGD challenges -
DTGD13TammieE, DTGD13whippetgirl, DTGD13cullenwr, DTGD13Beate, DTGD13jmasse and DTGD13bfinlay.
I used a stencil to make my background. Sponged on soft sky, sage shadow, bravo burgundy. Next I painted the grass stamp with grass green acrylic paint and stamped over the background panel. Stamped on the sentiment with memento black ink - using my stamp a ma jig. Matted the 5x5 panel with black cardstock. Sewed around the edge. I cut out the black birds with my die cut. Popped the birds. Image panel is popped up over garden green cardstock.
This is also for this weeks teaparty - We are tickling each other. It reminds me of strolling around "Buttertubs Marsh" in the warm summer evening and seeing the black birds sitting on the tall grass and bullrushes.

Squealing!!! I love stenciled bg's, this is just fabulous, Pat! Striking and yet natural at the same time, and all framed with your trademark stitching! Thanks for playing along in my DTGD challenge, hope you're having fun!

Wow! This is so gorgeous. Love the soft gray background. LOVE the dimension you achieved with the background, paint and die cut combo. AMAZING!
Thank you so much for being a fan club member and participating in the challenge.
Hugs and smiles
