I thought of this in my sleep and got up super excited to execute this wonderful card I had in my head. I started with the background--I wanted to do the salt technique--where you sprinkle salt on a wet watercolor and the color "pools" around the salt. I don't know if my table salt was just too fine, because the color didn't move. And my paper was saturated--took until early afternoon to dry. So I found my letters and started stamping the words--backwards, so I would have enough room--and misspelled "tequila". Had to cut the bottom off the paper. Then the letters started looking drunk--I guess that's okay--kind of keeping with the theme. But when I tried to put double-sided tape on the back of my paper, it started coming apart. I guess when you get whisper white THAT wet, it gets pulpy and acts more like toilet paper than card stock. I finally got it all together, and made a little pile of glitter in the corner--which is supposed to be salt. It's dry. I took the picture. I'm done.

Bless your heart! The salt thing is hit and miss for me too - I actually had better results with finer salt - the rock salt was too absorbent. Not sure what the happy medium must be... pretzel salt maybe? Anyway... enjoyed reading about your process! Some days are like that! So glad you could play along with me!!

This is pretty amazing, you thought it up in your sleep, wish I could do that - salt technique is perfect for your card, you sure you weren't dreaming about margarita's??? :) The result is a great bg and I like your drunken letters! Thanks so much for playing along in my DTGD challenge, hope it was fun!
