To help Flourishes close out its birthday celebration, I thought I would create a little something aimed at helping folks celebrate and party in style! Stacy here today and I am featuring one of FlourishesÂ’ newest sets called Dahlias! I am also showcasing Flourishes Invitation blank called the Blossom Collection Invitation Blank. Here is a peek at what the complete invitation will look like when handed out. So letÂ’s get startedÂ…
LetÂ’s work with the bag first as this will hold your invitation. This is a white bag measuring 4 3/4 x 7 1/4″. My solid color card stock is using Color Made Easy Emerald Coast and Poppy. Designer paper from Echo Park Sweet Girl paper pack. For the base layers I have kept it fairly simple as you will not see much of this after your frame and design is added. Feel free to glam it up if you would like though. Just a little of the ivory jute to the bottom edge and a scalloped top and bottom using Color Made Easy Emerald Coast paper collection.
Next is adding your framed die base and I have choosed the Perfectly Peirced Classic frame die that I die cut in Color Made Easy Poppy collection. My Dahlia is stamped onto Classic White Cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Now you are ready to add your stamped image and decorate. My sentiment is stamped onto the frame using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Some flourished jewels for accent and a poppy button tied off with ivory jute to complete the outside. Colored with copic collections hollyhock, azure, sky and green grass.
LetÂ’s work with the invitation they will pull out for details. We have a wonderful Blossom Invitation download in the store that is perfect for all occasions. Depending on your baggie size you will want to measure and make sure your base piece slides in without any trouble. Once the base layer fits, layer as you would like. I have used our Color Made Easy Poppy and Emerald Coast papers today. I scored around the border of the invite piece and tied in the jewels and scallops from the front of the invitation. My ribbon is using our Color Made Easy ash pink and sky seam binding that I tied off with some ivory jute and a poppy button. Voila! Here is your invite complete! I do love how this turned out. So fresh and beautiful donÂ’t you think? Here is the invite and wrapped bag side by side. A fun and different way to celebrate any event!
