The background got a little washed out in the scan. I used versamark then colored the flowers with the chalk pastels using daubers. It's quite a bit more vivid IRL. Thanks for looking!

I think that this is a very lovely card. Yes scanning them does wash them out and alters the colors. That is why I moved over to a digital camera for mine.

This is soooooo pretty! I love how you put the ribbons on the corners.
Scanner vs. digital. This is something I just haven't quite figured out yet. Sometimes my scanner does a better job than my digital camera and vice versa. However, if you have Adobe Photoshop or something similar, you can make adjustments to the colors to get it as close to the real color as much as possible.

This is really pretty! I bet it's gorgeous IRL! Your faux stitching looks really good. And I like how you did your ribbons also. Maybe I should get those chalks. I'm really liking the effect.
