Here is a stationary portfolio project that i did last week with my 8 yr. old daughter's 2nd grade class. They made them to send/give to their pen pals from a local senior residence.
It was a great deal of fun!
the portfolio was made out of an 8.5x11 piece of cardstock. It was scored at 2" the long way to create the pocket and scored at 5.5" to create the portfolio. I adhered sticky strip to the outer sides of the pockets, but be sure not to put adhesive on both sides of the pockets because it doesn't fold as nice. I also cut a triangle out of the center of the pocket so that it folded flatter...and you can see that in the "inside" picture. The stationary pockets can be filled with whatever you want, but i just cut some regular printer paper in half and wheeled the top and then included envelopes which i also wheeled the flap of.
