Funny when you need a card for someone dear, nothing in your stash is right, and you must make from scratch. So is this card, for an old friend I saw only 2 weeks ago in the supermarket, who has now died from a long illness. We will miss you, Mike.
The sky was direct to paper technique, swiping the ink pad straight across the paper a few times. Masked the high mountains, sponged, then stamped the tree. Finally masked & sponged the lower foreground with a darker green. Layered the scene on dark brown card, then onto kraft card. Rounded the corners. 4 Brads at each corner.

Straight into my favourites, though I'm sorry you had to make it for a sad occasion. That's a set I love, but that tree is my least-used stamp in it. I definitely want to make something inspired by this. The sponged setting for it is just wonderful - and the brads make it perfect for the WT challenge .

Knowing how hard it is to make a card in this situation, I have to say this is gorgeous. So sorry you lost your friend.

Wonderful card. The sponging of mountains and ground is stunning. That large oak always speaks to me, but I especially like how you made it majestic and serene at the same time.
Thank you for sharing this card with us.
