I used this interesting Sketch Challenge to make a masculine birthday card. The timing is good, because I just looked at my calendar and realized my brother-in-law's birthday is this Sunday. Phew!
I started with a Summer Starfruit card base and added a piece of Soho Subway dsp. (I purposely cut out this part of the dsp because I need that river on the dsp to tie in with the stamps.) My next layer is an Island Indigo Tasteful Trim die cut that I split down the middle with a 1/4" strip of Champagne Glimmer Paper. The smaller square is the script stamped with Summer Starfruit ink onto Summer Starfruit cs and cut out. (1-1/4") Onto it I added my anchor (stamped with Early Espresso ink onto Very Vanilla cs and cut out) and my sentiment banner with a Vintage Trinket brad and Dimensionals. For the bigger square at the top, I stamped the script with Summer Starfruit, the ship with Island Indigo and the compass with Early Espresso onto textured Very Vanilla cs. I stamped the compass again on scrap paper, cut it out and popped it on top of the first compass with a Dimensional. Finally, I layered this panel on Early Espresso cs, wrapped it several times with Linen Thread and adhered it to the card with Dimensionals.

OMG Regina, your nautical theme is so perfect for a guy card. I LOVE all your creative elements and they just all go so well together. The linen thread is the perfect embellishment too. TFS Your BIL will LOVE his very special card :-)
