Today's Mixability Challenge is to use 3 or more surfaces on our card. I used: paper, wood sticker, canvas die cut and metal accents. I started with my map page that I sponged and stamped with the rough texture wheel. I cut my dp and sponged the edges. I had the MS tags and sponged them and die cut a Bitty Banner in canvas then stamped my sentiment on them. This is what my kids cry out as they race toward the front passenger seat. Usually age has its privilege and the oldest gets to be my navigator, but occasionally they'll let a younger sibling have a turn! I had picked up a Vintaj embossing die without realizing what it was and later grabbed the blanks to go with it and made the rectangular metal key piece. The embossing is sanded to show the lighter colored metal.

What a cool retro feel this has, Gail. Your little key looks just great! Well done with the stamping on canvas, too - I know that's not as easy as it looks.

Awesome card! I really like the scrapbooking feel of your card. Fantastic details (highway symbol, map, key, cars). The sentiment really hits home. My kids like to "call" seats too, but usually, the adults get "shotgun".

I love maps and map cards and I think your key on there is great. Road trips need keys. Our kids are on a college tour trip right now. They left in the middle of the night and at 11:30 the night they left we found a facebook post saying they were looking for the button that opens the gas cap. Had been looking 5 mintes already. So glad they found it or we may have had to rescue them. Keys are important on road trips.
