For this week's ways-to-use-it challenge- state flower trivia. Wow! What a delicious challenge for this Oregonian! The Oregon Grape, which grows wild (and taller than me!) in the woods in this part of the state, is a unique "flower". NOT one that's usually produced as a stamp, for sure. The dark green foliage resembles holly, so I used a holly die. The tiny clusters of yellow flowers eventually develop into dark purple grape-like clumps on the bush. Anyway, the blooming Oregon grape on a walk in the woods feels like home to me.

Oh Brenda -I love the way you made the little picture frame - that's the lattice ef and regular rectangles, yes? I wondered, when I looked at the list this morning, how you'd make out but it certainly wasn't a problem to you. I presume, with a name like that, that the fruit is edible, too.

How interesting, and new to me!! the little yellow flowers belie the grape-ish clusters they presage! What a nice card, including the framed HOME sentiment, Brenda. Happy 4th.

Brenda....your card is outstanding. Love the story behind Oregon's state flower. Almost felt like I was walking in your woods and admiring all those grape flowers. Amazing how they are the colors of your famous Ducks! Thanks for adorning the gallery with a little insight of Oregon. Happy 4th.
