Teapot Tuesday is here again and this week we are sending sunshine to Mary Jane who is slowly recovering from a stroke. Thank you to Preciouskitty for telling us about Mary Jane.
Our challenge this week is to bring flowers. I love cards with flowers, and I think my favourite dies are rolled roses. Sadly 3D flowers are not suitable for international post, so I had to settle for floral paper.
The DP is from a 6 x 6 pad by My Minds Eye called "Follow your Heart". I have added little Martha Stewart Hydrangea punch flowers. In order to adhere them to the fence I wove a little strip of green metalic paper through the fence and actually glued the flowers to the paper. The "wrought iron" around the sign is really a "gate" die cut in half.
The awning is a Martha Stewart border punch. I added some lace to the inside of the windows - paper curtains have been scored, pleated and inked. It is hard to see in the photo, but there is acetate in the windows. Liquid pearls were used here and there. I also scored the background paper and inked the lines to give it a bit of "depth".
The sign was written with a Micron pen, and of course Mary Jane's florist is not open Tuesdays as all her clients are at the teaparty!!!
Thank you for looking and have a wonderful week everyone.

AWEEE....how sweet a thing to make her own flower shop. very clever and beautiful. I know what you mean by having to keep things flatter to too...there are times one wants to do it differently, but harder to do or shipping is crazy. You have made such a darling scene. well done. LOVE it ALL....TFS..:0)

This is so sweet Susie. You are so clever with your use of dies and punches (love the sign trick). And is that real lace in the windows? This will truly brighten her day.
