Making this card is a reminder of one of the blessings of being a stamper. Today, at our RV park craft sale I had a customer looking for a congratulations card. She is understandably proud of a grandson who worked hard (and had a lot of competition) for a special military promotion. (I doubt she would have located a suitable card at the card shop.) She selected this image (I have a stash of items from Wish RAK members) and we put together an appropriate verse inside. The papers are all from my stash as well. I edged the image with Distress ink. The sentiment is 7Gypsies. To keep the card flat I used a regular hole punch and a tiny medallion punch to make a sort of faux brad.

Oh, what a wonderful card, and what a very special reason to make this extraordinary card for a wonderful young man, who is standing up for and defending our freedoms! So glad you joined the ODBD Shining the Light challenge this week!

What a great card, I'm sure your customer was delighted with it, and rightly so! I love how you set the central oval at an angle and your faux brad is a great idea. Thanks for joining us for this week's Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge!
