I made this card for the CAS Summer DT call. The challenge was to use the song Beyond the Sea as inspiration.
When I hear this song I think of the USO entertaining the troops during war time. That iconic photo of the sailor getting his last kiss before shipping out comes to mind.
To make the card I use a cricut cut anchor tied with red and white twine. Added the sentiment Miss You, and finished with blue and red stars for a patriotic touch. And you can't support our troops without a little red, white and blue!

Love it!

Oh goodness...this is so STRIKING and immediately caught my eye. Last August, we lost my son's best-friend to a tragic car accident, he was only 21 and getting ready to start his Junior year at the U.S. Naval Academy. He was a like a second son to me, it still hurts to think about it. But this card with that anchor and "miss you" sentiment? It really speaks to my heart...I absolutely love it!
